Do wireless home phones emit radiation?
Drake asked:
I have a series of 5.8GHz Digital wireless digital phones from Radioshack. There are about three, and each one has its own little charging-thing that simply plugs into an electrical outlet. Each charge-thing then transmits a signal to the main station in another region of the house, with that one going into the phone line. Do these types of wireless home phones emit any radiation at all? And if so, is it sufficient enough an amount to do much of anything at all?

The answer to your questions is yes. They do emit radiation.
The thing to understand about home wireless digital phones is, the base station is constantly transmitting. The transmittion has a harmful range of 9 feet. Beyond the 9 feet is prettymuch OK.
The other problem with the hand held home phone is, all of the focus has been on the cell phones. The companies that produce the home phones with the base stations have not put the same effort into shielding your head.
This meens that you are actually gettin more radiation from your hand held at home than your cell phone.
Life is strange sometimes, the focus really needs to be on all wireless phones and WIFI.
A wireless phone is actually a 2-way radio. It both sends and receives radio frequencies. In your case in the 5.8 GHz region. This is electromagnetic radiation. But the power level is very low. There has been no concerns about the amount of RF these types of phones emit to my knowledge.
