How do I get my wired/wireless home network to share files and a printer?

you need to run on print sharing and then find that shared printer from the laptop. also you need to turn on file sharing and designate the shared folder and then find that on your laptop. it’s a pain in the butt sometimes to find the printer/folder but you only have to do it once.
You need to add the user from your laptop to your desktop and the user from your desktop to your laptop. Share appropriate resources on each machine and give the remote user permission to use them.
