My laptop senses other wireless networks in the neighborhood, AND a different laptop sense my home network. What gives?

I’m using a linksys N-Router and I have a Dell E1505.

  1. Laid back says:

Have you been using the unit on another network? If so, it will sometimes not clear when restarted. You may have to do a repair. Right click on the wireless icon in the taskbar and select repair. If that isn’t an option ,Start/Run/type cmd. In the window that opens, type ipconfig /release. After it answers, ipconfig/renew. Should give results with new address from your router.
